What we Believe

We believe that Jesus is the son of God, born of a virgin. (Matthew 1:18-25, 3:16,17, Hebrews 5:5)

  1. We believe that Jesus lived on earth as a perfect man, having no sin. (Philippians 2:7,8, Hebrews 4:15)

  2. We believe that Jesus is the Word of God, incarnated as a man. (John 1:14)

  3. We believe in one God, with a three-person Godhead: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Colossians 2:9)

  4. We believe that Jesus died for the sins of the world and rose from the dead so that all who believe on him may have eternal life. (John 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 4:14)

There is only one God who exists as three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Sin is anything that falls short of God’s standard. All men and women are sinners, and because of their sin, they are separated from God. Jesus is God’s answer to our sin, as He came to earth as a man to pay the penalty for our sin and reconcile us back to God. He did this by dying on the cross, and on the third day He rose again.

Salvation is a free gift from God for all who receive it through faith in Jesus Christ. Faith is the confidence of things hoped for, and the convictions of things unseen (Hebrews 11:1). This means that we can be confident that we have accepted Jesus and are saved because of the convictions we experience in our conscious mind. This is what drives us to acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior, be baptized, and live our lives in subjection to the Holy Spirit by denying our will and repenting when we fail to do so.

There is one body of Christ, which is the true Church. It is made up of lively stones – these are all those who are adopted by God through His Son Jesus, who is the head of the body and the Chief Cornerstone. Therefore, those of us who have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and are living in subjection to Him are all equal brothers, unified in truth and all of the same one Faith. On account of everything he’s done for us, we present our bodies to Him as living and holy sacrifices, acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service of worship.

We further believe that as the Body of Christ, we are to proclaim the Gospel to the world. The Bible is God’s inspired Word, worthy of our study and application. We need not be ashamed of this gospel, or our persistence in rightly dividing The Word of Truth.  We have no creed but Christ, no book but the Bible, which contains the scriptures. Jesus – our Lord God, Savior from Sin, and Him crucified – is the foundation upon everything we teach. In Him we live, move and have our being.
